Our client, a multinational business with a proud 130 year trading history, is an industry leader in the development and implementation of innovative metering solutions to the water industry.

Reporting to a UK Sales Director the Regional Sales Manager Middle East will provide a proactive front line sales presence to export distributors and customers within the Middle East region.

Working closely with the UK legal entity, who manage day to day GCC trading via their distribution channels, he/she will contribute towards achievement and growth of an export sales budget whilst meeting the long term needs of customers and personally managing multi-level relationships with both distributors and customers within the local water companies and government departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce a sales plan to grow revenue in defined territories
- Execute account plans for all territories
- Develop sales propositions and present to distributors and customers alongside the UK Sales Director where appropriate
- Update distributors and customers on new products
- Proactively manage local distributors in defined export territories
- Monthly sales forecasting
- Prepare tenders in conjunction with the Bids & Proposals Manager
- Effectively coordinate with the UK based customer service team
- Liaise with Product Management team and Design Department for updates and support on product development/new products
- Travel to meet customers in country as required
- Develop and promote sales of smart metering products in export territories

Requirements

- An Engineering degree in a relevant technical subject
- Non degree qualified candidates would need to demonstrate experience of selling technically focused products
- A proven track record within technically focused sales
- Experience of selling into emerging markets with Middle Eastern (GCC) experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels including fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience in metering and/or with water utilities in GCC region an advantage, though not critical
- Experience in Distributor & Sales Management is essential
