Regional Sales Manager (Middle East region)
Position Location: Dubai base with coverage of Middle East region

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is a key commercial role within the Environmental and Process Monitoring business unit of a multi billion $ turnover, NYSE listed American multinational.

Reporting to a European based EMEA Commercial Director the successful candidate will utilize their expertise in leading all selling and commercial activities on a cross sector basis for a product range of sensors, process mass spectrometry, UV spectroscopy and air quality monitoring instrumentation across the Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote business for the assigned products and territory to realize the annual operating plan bookings and revenue through distribution sales
• Direct the account management activities for the territory to drive account expansion and penetration
• Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions through Salesforce.com CRM system
• Interface directly with important customers to lead or assist with the selling process
• Lead key account activities for high value accounts
• Plan, organize and accurately forecast territory results on a weekly basis
• Work closely with the Marketing department to identify and assess new opportunities for existing products as well as opportunities for new product development
• Interface with Field Service to exchange customer information and ensure adequate support of the account base

Requirements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• BS / MS degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline
• Experience of selling scientific or technically focused products within the Middle East Region
• Significant process analytical experience in a customer-facing role
• Ability to maximize relationships with regional distributors
• Experience in managing independent selling channels as assigned
• Experience in working strategic accounts – key account development and selling skills is a plus
• A proven track record in achieving sales quotas
• Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
• Fluent in written and spoken English
