Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Department Overview

Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of all divisions including goods shipping, internal allocation, distribution, and delivery aligned with Company polices and strategies.

Position Overview

Establish the tools to measure inventory across the chain, develop, oversee and execute a variety of supply chain initiatives and strategies to enhance the end-to-end supply chain, drive targeted supply chain improvements and collaborate with other Corporate and Field functions across the supply chain.

Position Functions

• Lead all aspects of Supply Chain including the development of the strategic plan and its execution through local warehousing, logistics and customs clearance teams.
• Drive integrated processes among Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute a planning/replenishment process that meet the requirements of the business.
• Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to inventory planning and productivity; measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management.
• Analyze all aspects of existing supply chain practices and re-engineer to improve overall inventory management, resource utilization and transport efficiency.
• Develop and execute strategies to monitor and manage inventory investment and productivity at a number of levels, including department, store, and category.
• Identify new solutions and/or value-added services that address the company’s inventory opportunities.
• Implement and maintain logistics best practices, including technology advances, and policies and procedures.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives, along with comprehensive internal training.
• Develop and implement an infrastructure plan to support long-term growth of the company.
• Collaborate with other departments and divisions to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping.
• Create policies and procedures for supply chain activities in terms of warehouse, shipping, freight, delivery…etc.
• Maintain constructive relationships with freight agencies that capitalize on potential win / win scenarios and ensure market competitive freight rates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customs authorities, freight and insurance agencies for shipment discrepancies and financial recoveries for late, damaged or lost goods.
• Maintain a loss prevention action plan through systems audits and physical inspection in order to minimize the risk of disruption or financial loss.
• Ensure team development takes place and a succession plan in place for all key positions
