Job Overview:

Middle East & Africa (MEA) is an important region for business growth. Product registrations are required to market Ecolab products in the MEA region. The purpose of this role is to provide registration expertise and support to enable business growth, compliance, customer value and competitive position.

Main Responsibilities:

Implement registration programs to secure market authorizations to enable MEA sales of Ecolab products
Maintenance of existing product licenses
Manage and facilitate registration related activities
Monitor regulation changes to ensure continued compliance
Maintain and share knowledge
Build relationships with government agencies and the businesses
Provide subject matter expertise in MEA regulations related to Ecolab products
The primary geographic emphasis initially will be on Middle East North Africa market (MENA)
Prepares, coordinates and secures necessary authorizations, registrations and/or documentation needed for regulatory compliance against MEA regulations concerning Ecolab products
Pro-actively maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements imposed by government agencies in the MEA region.
Assess and promote compliance with existing laws and regulations pertaining to the position.
Develop and provide detailed understanding of regulatory processes of key agencies in the region
Coordinate registration processes between Ecolab facilities in MEA, Ecolab distributors and Ecolab facilities in the EU and US enabling the products to be marketed in MEA
Complete complex assignments which require specific regulatory knowledge and handle compliance issues.
Respond to internal/external customer enquiries
Manage small to medium projects related to Ecolab products
Support supervisor in developing strategies to comply with regulations.
Support supervisor or other regulatory personnel with special projects.
Regulatory compliance audits
Assist in M&A activities (Due Diligence and registration transfer)

Requirements

Qualifications
University / Master degree in pharmacology, chemistry, toxicology, engineering or related life science degree
7+ years professional experience in the area of Regulatory Affairs , in particular in the area of cleaners, detergents, biocides and sanitizers (biocides)
Track record of exposure to relevant regulatory agencies; Proven network with regulatory agencies in MEA region
Experience with governmental regulatory programs such as SFDA, NSF and other international regulations
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing import, distribution and sales in MEA
Good problem solving skills
Demonstrated grasp of business and regulatory processes
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate and influence other across functions and regions
Professional use of the English language both written and oral
Able and willing to travel up to 30%
