The RoleThe RoleWhy CH2M HILL? About the Business Description CH2M HILL Regulatory Licensing Lead - Abu Dhabi, UAE The challenge? To manage and oversee licensing activities for the siting, design, construction, and operation of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation's (ENEC) power plants so that regulatory requirements are met, and necessary licenses are obtained from FANR in a timely and efficient manner. Key Accountabilities: •Obtain required licenses to support construction and operation of UAE nuclear power plants. •Establish and maintain ENEC regulatory licensing process to comply with regulatory requirements and ENEC management system. •Maintain stakeholder relations. Our Regulatory Licensing Lead will: •Develop plans, identify resources needed, and manage preparation of license applications that satisfy all applicable regulatory and technical requirements. •Manage interaction with FANR regarding license applications including meetings and replies to follow-up questions. •Understand and research regulatory topics and develop technical and regulatory strategies to resolve regulatory issues associated with licensing of the nuclear power plant. •Interact with UAE regulatory agencies, IAEA, ENEC, and Prime Contractor in the development of the licensing regulatory framework for the UAE. •Develop ENEC regulatory processes and procedures for use by ENEC and the Prime Contractor in carrying out the licensing function. •Provide assistance/interface with representatives of regulatory bodies, external consultants and other departments. •Facilitate critical internal and external communication required to meet ENEC's licensing and regulatory requirements. You should be a self-motivated professional with eight years experience in licensing and regulatory affairs for nuclear power plants and have strong knowledge of nuclear licensing regulations and how to implement them, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
