Regulatory Reporting Manager

Job description / Role

The Investment Banking Division of a well-established Islamic Investment Bank in Bahrain is engaged in advising, structuring, managing securitization transaction and placing fixed income and equity offerings for both corporate and sovereign clients. The division also assists clients in analyzing and optimizing their capital structure and assists them in obtaining an efficient and appropriate mix of equity and fixed income finance, including raising equity through private and/or public offerings. They are currently looking to recruit a Regulatory Reporting Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Production of all CBB Reporting.
- Over viewing reconciliations where applicable
- Audit & review operational procedures for adequate controls on the reporting. Monitoring the Operations activities
- Develop and maintain banks regulatory reporting procedures document
- Ensure new products are mapped as per CBB reporting requirements
- Assist and resolve all CBB queries
- Become the subject matter expert for regulatory reporting.
- Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards
- Manage the financial records of the bank and provide reliable reporting to external/internal stakeholders
- Enhance the level of quality of reporting
- Provide financial and regulatory service to other departments within the bank
- Managing external auditor inquires

Requirements

- 3-5 years Central Bank reporting experience, ideally CBB
- Accounting background, ideally holding a professional accounting qualification ACCA,CPA
- Islamic Banking product knowledge and experience desirable
- Must demonstrate a track record of delivery against tight deadlines
- Fluent in English, Arabic language an advantage
- High degree of Analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong system development skills
- Must be able to demonstrate fundamental accounting skills
