Employment: Full Time

Our client is a large joint venture between two GCC contractors, to complete the development of contracting projects around Lusail City. They are in need of an experienced Reinforcement Engineer for a Light Rail Transit (LRT) project within Lusail City. This is a long-term 5 year project, and a great career opportunity.

Job Purpose: To develop and implement effective strategies to provide professional services in reinforcement order and delivery control activities on the LRT Project. Enhance and promote productivity of the Reinforcement Services Team and projects various reinforcement works.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly involved in Reinforcement Detailing, Check and Approve Schedules & Drawings issued by Designers.
Organizing, coordinating, and Procuring reinforcement rebar, Detailing and Scheduling
of Pile Reinforcements for Permanent and Temporary works.
Call in rebar for the project, manage deliveries, and approve payments.
Managing the Rebar Section. Detailing of Reinforcement using the latest 3-D Prototyping technique (Solid Edge). Produce drawings of reinforcement in a 3-D environment for complex pours which so far has proven to be effective in the current project.
Organizing, co-ordinating, and ordering reinforcement rebar for the entire project.
Detailing and scheduling of pile reinforcements for the project and temporary works. Call in rebar for the project, manage deliveries, and approve payments. Check and issue up-to-date documents, schedules & drawings.
Checking and supervising fixing of rebar.
Keep records of all issues of rebar drawings & Bar Bending Schedules in preparation for rebar orders.
Prepare monthly reconciliation report on materials ordered & received and submit to LRT Projects accountings before approving payments to suppliers.
Perform other duties for the PM and management staff.

Requirements

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Business Management and/or level 4 qualifications Civil Engineering.
Minimum five years experience in Civil Works.
Ideally holding Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer status. And a formal health and safety qualification (e.g. Nebosh Construction Certificate).
Having civil construction industry (large infrastructure projects) experience of 8-10 years recommended.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team including the ability to select and recruit, mentor and motivate.
team members and promote continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to monitor, control and oversee large budget.
Demonstrated experience in asset management, civil construction and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan and prioritize works programs using the best practices.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and GIS systems.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
Fluent in English is a must. French, Hindi, Arabic is a plus.
