Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Manage portfolio of corporate customers, recognizing and anticipating changing customer needs and opportunities to develop business. Client responses are to be timely and accurate in their presentation of solutions to client needs.

Identify opportunities for cross-selling a range of products, involving specialists as appropriate in order to maximize return from portfolio.

Structure and execute an on-going business plan for all clients in his or her portfolio.

Structure and execute a comprehensive and on-going marketing / calling programme for his client base, including the introduction of senior staff of the bank and product experts.

Plan to achieve set budgetary targets for revenue generation and product sales.

Responsible for the maximization of revenue across his/her assigned portfolio with a primary focus on the appropriate selling of CBD products and a secondary focus on the Bank’s broader product base, through a needs-based assessment of client requirements.

Ensure proper and timely follow-up of all business calls including call reports, follow-up letters, client database management.

Ensure receipt of up to date client financial statements and carry out comprehensive financial and non financial analysis for both new and existing credit requests and facilities.

Prepare accurate (both in terms of information presented and facilities requested), comprehensive and clearly structured credit applications for submission to relevant internal committees.

Liaise and work closely with Risk Department in the administration of his/her portfolio, including the obtaining of financial statements, collateral documents, resolutions, signatures and ensure compliance with the Bank’s internal and external guidelines.

Undertake any other assignment as may be delegated by the management as per business requirement.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Finance or Economics with preferably Masters degree in Business Administration

Minimum Experience:

At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in Corporate Banking in a financial institutions.

Understanding of bank’s Corporate Strategy and objectives.

Knowledge on the Corporate banking sector in Qatar and the GCC region.

Maintain appropriate knowledge of regulation, policies and standards.

Ability to manage a portfolio, maximise revenues in a regulated environment and source new business through their own initiative.

Strong knowledge of financial products and services, financial markets and economic environments.

Teamwork skills and ability to establish clear & realistic goals for junior staff.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to interact effectively and professionally with clients and Senior Management.
