Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role holder is primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service incorporating the full range of Commercial Banking products offered. They manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the Commercial Banking segment and work collaboratively with product specialists from various Value Centres when required to further increase sales.

- Grow customer portfolio size by deepening existing customer relationships
- Provide advice on potential financial solutions based on identified needs
- Resolve client queries without further escalation
- Main banker for majority of clients in portfolio
- Work effectively across geographic borders with customers to deepen relationship with bank
- Pass on high net worth customers to the Priority or Private Bank
- Sell multiple products to customers
- Turn service recovery into sales opportunity
- Contribute to sales generation activities especially through referrals from highly satisfied customers
- Analyse and review potential business to ensure maximum profitability
- Collaborate with product specialists, to deliver effective customer solutions
- Identify product specialists across different value centers to satisfy anticipated customers needs
- Broader product holding ratio
- Operate within Risk & Compliance requirements / framework
- No reported mis-selling cases
- Loan impairment below competitors loss rates
- Is able to turn service recovery issues into customer loyalty opportunity

Requirements

- Must be Western Educated
- Must be from a native English speaking country
- Graduate in Business or Accounting related degree
- MBA/CA preferred
- Strong relevant experience in a corporate banking environment, managing corporate client relationships
- Sound understanding and previous exposure to corporate treasury products, trade finance products and international banking products
- Strong credit appraisal experience, with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- High quality experience in a credit management position with proven ability to manage a team
