Reliability Engineer Mechanical

Job description / Role

- Control the quality of lubricating oils & grease used in equipment and maintains records of performance.
- Monitor the condition of equipments through periodical tests (oil analysis, thermographs, alignment measures and others).
- Use IR camera for predictive maintenance applications.
- Study maintenance procedures for enhancing and continues improvement.
- Supply the M&R planning team with the needed reports/data for maintenance planning.
- Use predictive maintenance techniques for improving maintenance planning.
- Ensure fuel quality by periodical Laboratory testing or whenever required.
- Maintain and follow up certification of the lifting equipment.
- Follow up accidents repair cost coverage with concerned Departments and Insurance.
- Follow up and assist with the quality engineers for creating a reliable engineering library for all manuals and engineering documents.
- Follow up and coordinate quality team activities and findings.
- Actively participate with PEX & TPM by supplying data and assist in results calculation.
- Promote a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable Safety Standards.
- Actively participate in relevant POS, ENG and HSSE Process Improvement initiatives, other Continuous Improvement Programs and initiatives.
- Ensure to have full understanding and comply with all POS, ENG and HSSE SOPs.
- Ensure proper communication channels are established for each work group.
- Provides complete and accurate reports to the senior reliability engineer, as needed.
- Performs any other related activities, as requested.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Completion of certificate program in supervisory/management principles will be an added value.
- Three to five years previous experience in Port Engineering field and/or dealt with maintenance planning, spares, reefer activities & repair role.

Specialized Knowledge:
- Easily deals with equipment specification & manuals.
- Familiar with usage applications of Infra Red Camera.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical trades, planning maintenance, servicing and repair of light to heavy vehicles and equipment.

Skills:
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in order to set priorities.
- Requires excellent supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work.
- Requires intermediate verbal and written communications skills in English, in addition to effective interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Requires exceptional time management, due to fast-moving, demanding work environment.

Equipment and Applications:
- Requires specific computer knowledge for the preparation of various reports/graphs.
- Requires ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets efficiently.
- High PC skills to be able to deal with IFS or similar systems.
