The RoleThe RoleWe are looking for someone who has previously worked in a research role within the Oil and Energy industry. The position will be a very hands on research analyst who will be expected to deliver research into current projects within the Oil & Energy industry, data mining and processing, meet with clients and potential business associates while providing accurate and up to date data. The role would be suited to an ambitious individual who is keen to work in a busy environment within a forward thinking company. |
RequirementsRequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate or post graduate university qualifications Previous Experience: Two to Three years of working in a professional consulting or research analysis environment Competency Requirements: Market Research and Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills developed by exposure to either consulting or a recognised business to business market research company High level of competency in drawing insights and conclusions from fact based analysis Ability to make informed decisions with the best information available A firm understanding of primary and secondary market research tools and methodologies Excellent and proven report/article writing skills Project Management: Ability to integrate across teams Ability to work under pressure Entrepreneurial in nature to proactively manage different tasks in a boutique firm environment Understanding the role of prioritising and systematically organising tasks, commitment to tackling obstacles and establishing aggressive goals Managing Relationships: Comfort in engaging and working with customers at senior levels Developing strong relationships with third parties and partners/joint ventures People Orientation: Dynamic personality that can bring fresh ideas and approaches to all aspects of operating within an SME Flexibility and adaptability to change and to also be a change agent. Displays strong public presence to and an ability to interact with senior leadership if required Integrity: Understanding of the role of treating clients, colleagues and service providers with high levels of mutual respect at all times; building long term relationships based on a high degree of trust; providing others with open access to information; and demonstrating self-belief and in-depth understanding of one’s impact on others. Language Skills: English: Fluent (spoken & written) Knowledge of Arabic a plus Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Interview skills for primary research Comfort in presenting findings both internally and externally Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Applications: Strong Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; ability to research effectively on the WWW. Other requirements: The job may require traveling from time to time. |
