Research Director (Quantitative)

Job description / Role

My client is looking to recruit a Quantitative Research Director for their Jeddah office.

This person would be responsible for setting up the Client Service function in KSA – in this context, business development from KSA based clients would be the primary responsibility. In terms of project execution, there would initially be back end support from Dubai, but over time there will be a 3-4 person Client Servicing team locally based in KSA. The candidate will be responsible for developing business, maintaining a high level of research delivery and strengthening client relationships via regular personal interaction. Strong communication skills, sound grasp of research, ability to translate research findings to marketing actions, and confidence in dealing with senior level clients are some of the key requirement of this role.

Reporting line would be in to Dubai, to a Vice President level person within the organization. Future growth path could either be a Country Manager within KSA or a senior client service role in another location.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following requirements:

- 10 to 12 years in an MR agency in a client facing role. Should have customized quantitative research experience (i.e. not retail audit) with previous stint with premier market research agencies in client facing roles.
- MBA Marketing degree or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of KSA market and clients
- Significant knowledge and consistent application of market research skills, across a variety of sectors
- Ability to convert research findings into marketing action
- Good communication skills
- Proven ability to manage, train and mentor a team
