The RoleThe RoleThe position supports university policy and planning decision- making through the production and dissemination of institutional information and analysis. The incumbent provides expertise on social science research methodologies and statistics. The incumbent designs, implements and reports on research projects of institutional importance. The incumbent, in collaboration with academic and administrative units, develops, maintains and reports on institutional performance indicators. |
RequirementsRequirementsThree years experience in similar position in public sector, preferably in higher education. Proficiency with Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency with SPSS or equivalent statistical software tool. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with the Banner ERP. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences which includes course work in research methods and statistics. Master’s Degree preferred. This position requires an ongoing commitment to remain current in the field of institutional research and best practices, particularly in the area of assessment, and in the use of information technology as a vehicle for information deployment. Continuing study occurs through review of professional publications (e.g. AIR series of journals and periodicals) and attendance as conferences and workshops. |
