The Role

The multiple award-winning Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has been conceptualized as a “Sanctuary for the Senses” whose beautiful properties can be found in stunning locations such as the Seychelles, the Maldives, Bintan (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), Bangkok (Thailand), Ringha (China) and Lijiang (China).

In partnership with the iconic and landmark development the Meydan Racecourse, Banyan Tree will be operating “The Meydan” Hotel consisting of 280 Suites, 5 spectacular restaurants, a signature Banyan Tree Spa and meeting facilities for up to 400 guests.

Within the First phase of the recruitment process, we are looking for an experienced and qualified management team to lead this exciting project

Reservations Manager's Responsibilities:

1. Ensures that processing of reservations are in accordance with established Angsana Hotels & Resorts policies and procedures.

2. Ensures the maintenance and completeness of records regarding room reservations.

3. Controls and updates the room availability information records.

4. Studies and keeps track of the reservation trend for purposes of re-forecasting; ensures that charted figures tally with the projected occupancy.

5. Coordinates closely with Leisure/MICE Sales Manager / Groups Coordinator regarding group bookings. Coordinates with Credit Manager regarding credits and cancellation of reservations.

6. Blocks all suite bookings, updates suite control chart daily, and records new rates, special packages and new accounts.

7. Answers all verbal / written inquiries and requests concerning room reservations. Initiates requests for special room amenities.

8. Participates in weekly Revenue Management meetings

Requirements


Requirements

• With 2 – 3 years relevant experience in similar position in a International Luxury hotel

• Knowledge of Fidelio preferred. Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge required.

• Knowledge of hotel reservations systems and processes, preferably experience with the reservations system.

• Strong leadership and selling skills.

• Excellent communications and selling and up-selling skills.

• Ability to train and motivate a team to high performance.

• Knowledge of one or more languages in addition to English is desirable.
