The RoleThe RoleJob Purpose: To manage the Ethanol/Animal Feed contracts effectively to deliver the contract on time to cost and the required quality. Manage contract form a single high-level view of all technical issues, technical linkage between contractors, programs and key technical issues. Manage contractual risks by anticipating events and taking prompt, proactive actions to manage such risks Support Project Managers in all technical issues, technical variations and technical inspection. Establish a system and process for managing budgets, payments, guarantees, cash flow, risk contingency and other allocated funding within the delegation. Carry out site measurement and re-measurement at specific times and authorize consultant/Vendors payment applications. Work in partnership with the Consultants/Vendors to identify solutions to emerging issues and resolve issues as they occur without causing delay to the program. Maintain clear records of all instructions and solutions identified to expedite the contract. Produce appropriate Management Information Reports for the Program Director at the required timescale to inform spend against budget, claims and variations issued/agreed, risk contingency and outturn forecasts (time and cost). Manage all resources allocated to the project efficiently, putting in place appropriate delegations and controls. Set clear objectives and delivery targets for individual members of the team. RequirementsRequirementsDegree in Chemical or process Engineering or similar. Minimum 8 - 12 years post qualification experience – majority gained either as part of a contractor organization or site supervision team in heavy Chemical engineering works especially Ethanol or Animal Feed projects. Resident Engineer or Contract management experience at senior level. Experience in managing FIDIC form of contract (Preferable). Experience gained in managing international contracts. |
