Job description / Role
Main Responsibilities
• Reviews and advises PM on the approval of contractor’s programme, methods statements
• Approves and monitors contractor’s qualify assurance and control and approve material submissions etc
• Ensures that all appropriate and relevant field records are maintained
• Maintains all records required by QA/QC requirements
• Reports progress and cost to the PM
• Supports PM in negotiation of cost variations, extensions of time
• Ensures compliance with the Contract
• Ensures complete compliance with HSE contract requirements
• Certifies measurements and payments
• Advises PM of potential claims and progress slippage
• Prepares Completion/Maintenance certificates
• Contract close out
Requirements
• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, preferably Chartered/Professional Engineer, MICE or MCIWEM
• 20 years minimum of similar work with progressively increasing responsibility
• At least 8 years as a Resident Engineer with experience in pumping station projects
• Working overseas or in the region is essential
• Being proactive with excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract
