Resident Engineer (Structures)

KEO International Consultants is a highly ranked and award winning planning, architecture, engineering and project & construction management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

We are currently seeking a qualified Resident Engineer (Structural) to work on some of the most prestigious and internationally recognized projects within the region. The Resident Engineer will serve as the senior site representative responsible for all matters related to the construction, time, cost and quality of the project. This includes leading, directing and monitoring all personnel who are identified within their charge and the administration of the building contract works.

Requirements

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:

• A minimum of 18 years of experience, with 8 years in the position of Resident Engineer on high rise projects.
• Capable of interfacing with the Planning team and managing a team of Site Engineers
• History of coordinating with the Design Team to understand the delivery programme and the impact of change when proposed.
• Capable of reviewing contractor technical submissions and providing engineering support services to the Engineer in his administration of the contract.
• Ability to monitor / direct quality assurance programme for structural works.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and ensure senior staff are kept informed of relevant service / design decisions to ensure the objectives of the Client are achieved.
• Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the Client’s best interests and that company policy is in keeping with current legislation, relevant standards and Codes of Practice etc.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree majoring in Structures or MIStructE (not a Civil Engineering qualification).
• Candidates should have started their career as a structural engineer and moved into the role as RE or PM.
• Strong understanding of TECOM / DM requirements.
• Candidates should be currently working in the UAE and preferably based in Dubai.
