Resident Engineer

Are you an experienced Resident Engineer looking to expand your career by working on a prestigious and hugely valuable mega project in the Middle East?

Our client is one of the Middle East’s fastest growing multi-disciplined construction and architectural consultancies. They specialise in delivering world class construction projects and have experienced phenomenal growth over the past fifty years with valued expertise in architecture, infrastructure, engineering and construction supervision. They are actively expanding their regional presence year-on-year, so this is a fantastic opportunity to join the company and be part of their inevitable success.

They have been appointed as sole contract administration and site supervision consultants for the largest building project ever to be constructed in Kuwait. The building will be an iconic, state-of-the-art, culture complex; comprising of a theatre, library, cinema, education centre, it will have exceptional acoustic and interior finishes specification.

Reporting to the Chief Resident Engineer you will be expected to:

• Administer the construction design & build project
• Ensure that the scheme is built in compliance with client design
• Supervise the construction, which is envisaged to last 5 years

Requirements

To be considered for the role you must demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

• You must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Have a minimum of 25 years post graduate experience in design and construction sectors
• Have at least 10 years proven experience in a relevant and similar role
• Have at least 5 years relevant experience based in the Middle East
• Be a chartered Engineer or Architect with membership of an internationally recognised professional body such as: MICE, ARIBA
• You will have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
• Have proven experience on high value projects with a value in excess of US$350M

For the ideal candidate our client can offer a net salary package of circa US$10,000 per month (actual salary will be paid in Kuwaiti Dinar)
