Resident Engineer

Our Client has international expertise in a full range of professional project management services including feasibility studies, program development and management, claim management and resolution, project control, health and safety management, cost management, environmental management and risk management. Our client is looking for a Resident Engineer to work in Qatar.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• With at least 15 years of experience in large –scale Infrastructure projects or RAIL transport systems
• Ensure that all aspects of safety are monitored & non-conformances corrected.
• Preparing presentations and reports as needed.
• Provide underground stations technical support.
• Ensure that quality & progress are effectively monitored and tracked throughout the program period.
• Interact with all internal Stakeholders (Qatar Rail, Employer Representative, Logistic Coordinator and D & B Contractor staff) in addition to external Stakeholders (MMUP, Ashghal, Various Utilities, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Attends meetings as needed

Requirements

Experiences & Qualifications:
• Must have Engineering degree or comparable Technical Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with bias towards tunneling & geotechnics.
• International Experience (Middle-East) of working in Engineering Management Firm or in a construction site environment
• Excellent oral and written English language
• Qualified professional working under limited supervision capable of performing general technical works and manages projects or tasks of moderate complexity or less experience staff.
• Strong Communication (written and oral) skills
• Resident - Based in Doha
• Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint)
• Auto Cad is desired.
• Arabic speaking is a plus
