The RoleThe RoleKEO International Consultants is a highly ranked and award winning planning, architecture, engineering and project and construction management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. We are currently seeking a qualified Resident Engineer to work on some of the most prestigious and internationally recognized projects within the region. The Resident Engineer will serve as the senior site representative responsible for all matters related to the construction, time, cost and quality of the project. This includes leading, directing and monitoring all personnel who are identified within their charge and the administration of the building contract works. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following: • Monitoring the work of staff members ensuring compliance with contract provisions, including correspondence and submittals. • Awareness and vigilance with regards to all aspects of construction activity in order to provide quality assurance and safety standards in line with contractual agreements. • Reviewing contractor’s change order proposals and providing suitable recommendations to the Construction Manager. • Attending regular meetings with contractors and government officials to review construction progress and identify constraints and opportunities for corrective measures. • Conducting the final inspection of work and provide handover of completed project works. • Excellent communication skills along with the ability to maintain successful client relationships. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline. Membership of a Professional Engineering Institution would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written English. Candidates will have previous hospital construction experience and preferably some background in high end finishes. A minimum of 15 years of post-graduate experience. Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be beneficial.
