Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Qualified Respiratory Therapist at Sidra Medical & Research Center, you will being joining a service of highly skilled practitioners who maintain a great deal of autonomy in the NICU/ PICU and are viewed as valuable assets to the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

In addition to their duties in the NICU, neonatal RCPs are also eligible to train as ECMO specialists and support the pediatric ECMO team. You will be in good company of experts in caring for neonates and pediatrics as well with compromised respiratory status, and frequently share their expertise at physician and nursing lectures.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assumes primary responsibility for all Respiratory Care modalities including diagnostic, therapeutic, special procedures, and interventional modalities.

Functions and performs as an advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner, providing expertise in Anesthesia Assistance and/or extra corporeal life support (ECLS).

Provides emergency care as a member of Resuscitation, Rapid Response, and Transport Team as required.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy or 3 year Diploma equivalent and Anesthesia Assistance/ Technology Training from an accredited program RRT (AA) or (Cer. A.T./ CER. A.T.T.)
(Preferably with a Post graduate certificate in Neonatal/ Pediatric Respiratory care from Country of Origin)

At least 3 years recent experience in NICU/ PICU and/or Operating Room

Licensed in Country of Origin RRT, AA or Cer. A.T., or CER.A.T.T., BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS or equivalent.

Member of Professional Respiratory care of Anesthesia association in Country of Origin
ECMO/ECLS Specialist
