Restaurant General Manager

Job description / Role

Main Responsibilities:
- General Manager for 5-star hotel restaurant
- Build, oversee, manage and implement the restaurant strategy
- Run operations in an efficient and profitable manner and provide innovative methods to enhance existing operations on various fronts (revenue generation, cost control, IT systems, HR functions, procurement and accounting)
- Source, recruit, train and manage current and prospective employees
- Negotiate key operational deals and establish a marketing framework to attract clients
- Advise on key contractors and designers
- Assist in the construction of business plans
- Achieve targeted P&L/milestones and objectives set up by the directors
- Travel for business on as-needed basis
Monthly salary (all inclusive): AED25,000 per month
Other Benefits: Medical Insurance + Annual Ticket

Requirements

- 15-20 years of experience with reputable restaurant business operators (local experience in the UAE is a must)
- A track record of achievement in the restaurant business
- Professionally trained by reputable Food & Beverage institutes
- Ability to produce business procedures, develop marketing strategies, manage operations, lead and motivate employees
- Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of IT & Accounting systems (MS Office, Sage, etc)
- Fluency in English is a must
