Restaurant Manager - Dean & Deluca - Kuwait
Dean & Deluca is a food adventure. Friendly staff members offer tastes of cheeses, charcuterie, olive oils, exotic fruits, breads and pastries, chocolates and Arabic sweets and the restaurant prides itself on attentive, high quality service.
The Role:
As a key role within the hospitality industry, restaurant management can be fast-paced, highly demanding and very rewarding. We are looking for a Manager to ensure our business operates efficiently and profitably whilst representing Alshaya's values. The individual will be responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, such as minimising waste, as well as maintaining high standards of food, and service and health and safety.
You should be able to demonstrate a leadership style that creates a positive working environment that remains calm under pressure. You will also enhance the brand's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to your accomplishments.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial position required, ideally in a dining/ restaurant setting with multi-unit experience
* A good understanding of quality assurance, procedures and protocols
* A have strong knowledge of service and food & beverage operations
* Able to identify and develop team members for future leadership roles
* Able to delegate and get work done through others
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Commercial awareness
* Flexibility
* Effective planning, project management and organising skills
* Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers and customers
* A proactive approach to problem solving.
