The Role


The Role

The multiple award-winning Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has been conceptualized as a “Sanctuary for the Senses” whose beautiful properties can be found in stunning locations such as the Seychelles, the Maldives, Bintan (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), Bangkok (Thailand), Ringha (China) and Lijiang (China).

In partnership with the iconic and landmark development the Meydan Racecourse, Banyan Tree will be operating “The Meydan” Hotel consisting of 280 Suites, 5 spectacular restaurants, a signature Banyan Tree Spa and meeting facilities for up to 400 guests.

Within the First phase of the recruitment process, we are looking for an experienced and qualified management team to lead this exciting project.

Restaurant Manager's Responsibilities:

1. Directs and controls all subordinate staff to ensure that all day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.

2. Provides guidance and assistance to the outlet employees helping them in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.

3. Oversees the service standards in the outlet ensuring that they conform to the requisite standards and meet or exceed customer expectations.

4. Liaises with the kitchen, stewarding, bars, housekeeping and engineering to ensure that the operation runs smoothly in areas of joint responsibility.

5. Prepares duty rosters, and implements vacation and public holiday schedules.

6. Assists in the planning and execution of promotional activities as directed.

7. Maximizes revenue in the outlet by implementing up selling procedures.

8. Monitors and controls the financial performance of the outlet controlling costs and expenses.

9. Participates in the preparation of the outlet’s annual departmental budget as directed.

10. Assists in monitoring and controlling the hotel’s OE inventory and participates in inventory taking.

11. Conducts frequent front and back of house checks ensuring mis-en-place, service procedures, standards of cleanliness and hygiene, repair and maintenance, employee grooming and manning levels are in order and takes appropriate action where necessary.

12. Assists in the maintenance of efficient administration preparing and submitting reports on time as directed.

13. Assists in the selection, training and evaluation of subordinate employee.

14. Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees.

Requirements


Requirements

• With minimum 2 – 3 years relevant experience in similar position in a International Luxury hotel in the Middle East.

• Must be familiar with F & B Micros Fidelio.

• Ability to provide the finest guest dining experience while leading a highly motivated and guest-service focused team.

• Excellent guest problem resolution skills.

• Excellent leadership skills.

• Full conversant in English Language.
