Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional commercial standards throughout the stores in the area. To ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and driving sales, profitability and increasing standards of customer service through the performance and development of store managers, whilst managing within agreed budgets and aligned to overall business strategies. This role is also responsible for the opening of new stores and subsequent special projects relating to the openings.

STORE SALES AND TARGETS
- Responsible to meet the stores sales targets and GP targets as per the business plan through weekly and monthly commercial action planning.
- Coaching Store Managers on identify opportunities and actions required
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring store activities, such as sales, expenditures, progress reports etc., in order to inform senior management of current status of store activities.
- Measure and monitor sales performance through KPIs and commercial reports.
- Achieve Stock Loss result of< 0.7% of sales cost through an effective Stock Loss Action Plan and thorough stock movement procedures.
- Work with Store Managers to manage shrinkage and stock loss, highlighting risk areas to Senior Managers.
- Junior Operations Managers will have full accountability and responsibility for their aggregated stock loss percentage of their stores and current procedure will be followed when dealing with unsatisfactory results.

COMMERCIALITY
- Responsible for the commercial analysis and providing Senior Management with the Consolidation Report.
- To be accountable for the range planning and category mix in store.
- To provide immediate feedback and coordination with the Buying and Merchandising team.
- To support the need and the allocations per brand.

PEOPLE
- Ensure that high standard leadership is adopted within each territory and store.
- Full line and performance management accountability of the Store Mangers within the region.
- To develop and coach high potential individuals in preparation for recommendation for succession planning and manage poor performers through the EIP Process.
- Identify key talent/fast track individuals within the business to provide future succession planning to meet the requirements and selection for the new store teams
- To motivate the team through an environment of two way communication, to encourage involvement and individuals to take initiative.
- Working in conjunction with the training department to ensure that training and development needs are identified
- To support in sourcing and recruiting suitable candidates for the existing vacancies in existing stores and for the new stores that are to open.
- To recommend on the correct nationality and gender mix for each store.
- Provide induction and initial training to new members of staff and ensure constant evaluation of the employee knowledge in terms of Brand Awareness, product knowledge and service skills.

SERVICE LEVELS AND STANDARDS
- Responsible for the facilitation of weekly managers meeting, where managers are being coached and trained to present their business in a commercially effective manner.
- Working with VM team, ensuring the coordination of store layout, store opening records and initial opening stock.

BUSINESS RESTRUCTURING
- Responsible for the managing of new store opening and closure processes, ensuring stock, logistics, I.T. and merchandising are synchronized in a timely manner and completed to deadline.
- Undertaking of special projects relating to new store openings, closures and events on an as and when required basis.
- Ownership of operational Critical Path to New Store opening and store closures.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- Responsible for a successful Internal Audit of >95% through recognition of standards.
- Implementation of effective Ventures Internal Audit and proper execution of any agreed further actions.
- Ensures compliance with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.
- Work with Store Managers to consistently implement disciplinary procedures, reporting incidents to relevant senior members of staff/HR.
- Interpret company policy to employees and reinforce safety regulations, including the Marketing and Visual Merchandising guidelines and promotional activities.
- Monitors cash flows, sales performance, inventory control, cash sales receipts and operating records.
