The RoleThe RoleResponsible for proactively collaborating with BU counterparts to understand and translate their business needs into IT requirements ; aligning with counterparts and internally on scope of requests/enhancements, and prioritizing and ensuring timeliness and quality of project delivery. Responsibilities: Business Analysis • Proactively conducts day-to-day interaction with dedicated business/ corporate counterparts to identify /collect requirements and translate into IT improvements • Clarifies to BU IT implications of business needs • Works with business and IT counterparts to clarify project scope, builds business case and obtains business case validation • Conducts ongoing demand planning and prioritization of BU requests/projects • Remains aware of business developments within his area and keeps log of changes • Communicates IT training requirements stemming from relevant business users BU Advocacy • Represents BU interests and clarify BU requirements in the development of the IT strategic plan • Works with business counterparts to detail and secure additional budgets • Presents and defends requests in internal /external IT decision meetings • Participates in relevant IT project steering committee Project Management • Conducts project management for relevant IT projects/enhancements, by – Clarifying scope – Determining, communicating and securing appropriate resources / timelines – Approving detailed project plan and milestones and managing technical team/ resources towards meeting them – Updating business counterparts and following-up on progress as required – Driving delivery quality and following Quality Assurance processes |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation/Experience: • Degree in Computer Science or MIS (Management Information System) • Minimum 5+ years experience in business analysis, IT application/ project management • Experience in Retail business Skills: • Strong business knowledge • Strong analytical skills • Ability to work independently • Strong communication and presentation skills • Strong negotiation and influence skills • Good project management skills • Ability to steer project teams to achieve successful results • Ability to work in a fast pace environment • English fluent |
