Retail Manager & Operations Manager - Fashion
Salary: up to AED 40,000 based on experience
Location: Dubai, UAE

Our Client, established in 1995 in Dubai is the exclusive distributor for casual and trendy Italian, British and Asian fashion brands and accessories.

The company directly operates over 25 retail stores for these brands in the UAE, with an overall distribution network of over 50 mono-brand stores and premium department stores across the region.

Our client is seeking a Retail Manager reporting to the Managing Director to take full responsibility of day to day operations of the outlets.

Key role is to Manage the operations for UAE and Bahrain stores in order to ensure that stores are run profitably, and within the company`s brand guidelines

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Develop and manage the retail business in order to ensure that the department is fully aligned with the
overall objectives of the company.
- Drive sales and revenue generation in order to achieve the financial objectives of the company.
- Take full ownership of the P&L for the retail business in order to ensure the organizations financial
robustness and maximum return on investment.
- Lead and manage retail operations locally and regionally, by managing and running the stores professionally, profitably, with high standards of quality and with focus on maximum utilization of resources, in order to position the organization as the bench-mark in the Middle East retail market.
- Manage the planning and buying function in line with the brand strategies, by generating relevant data for appropriate store-wise buying assortment, in order to maximize sales.
- Support the accountability owner in managing retail leasing in order to ensure that the business is highly visible and has the most profitable locations.
- Support the accountability owner in managing retail projects in order to ensure that all stores are delivered on time and maintained with high standards of quality and cost effectiveness.
- Lead the analysis of the sales figures, by developing meaningful reports, in order to forecast sales, trends, shifts in the market etc so that the business may be positioned in a way so as to take advantage of these occurrences.
- Lead and motivate the team by leading by example and maintaining team spirit, in order to achieve organizational loyalty and a forward looking, fully aligned workforce.
- Provide regular training, coaching and mentoring to the team in order to ensure a highly skilled workforce.

Requirements

- A Minimum of 10 years experience for The Retail Manager and 5 years for the Retail Operations Manager in fashion, of which 3 years must be at senior level
- Previous experience within the UAE
- Must have experience in managing more than 20 retail fashion or luxury outlets
- Excellent communications skills in English.
- Ability to manage effectively and efficiently at multiple levels
- Proven experience in several retail outlets management
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to delegate and empower positively
- Interest and passion in fashion and latest trends
