Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Supervises: Planning Manager, Operations Manager, Training Manager, Marketing & Visual Manager

Key Accountabilities
• Achieve targeted sales across brand
• Achieve and improve targeted gross margin across brands
• Monitor sales across locations and identify areas of improvement for
- Increasing footfalls,
- Conversion of footfalls
- Sales of merchandise at full price
- Reducing costs of operations
• Identify ways for Improving customer’s shopping experience and ensure implementation of same across locations
• Ensure adherence of services standards
• Analyse brand and stores performance to assist in decision making for brand expansion/ closure
• Conceptualise ways to leverage brands for development of customer loyalty programs
• Plan manpower requirements for operations and merchandising function
• Monitor staffing norms for stores in line with company stores and international standards
• Review monthly performance on sales and analyse any potential risks
• Improve stock turns
• Conceptualize and implement marketing activities across brands
• Monitor OTB limits and inventory budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with licensees and principals
• Timely delivery of merchandise to warehouse

Supervisory Activities

• Ensure accurate calculation and adherence to OTB limits by planning managers
• Ensure accurate sales forecasting and monitoring of inventory levels across select brands
• Ensure liquidation of slow-moving merchandise
• Ensure proper assortment planning and purchase activities
• Track sales to monitor sales performance for select brands
• Ensure implementation of promotional and cross selling activities, changes from customer surveys and customer loyalty programs
• Ensure regular training is provided to managers, associated as required
• Ensure timely generation and receipt of reports

Execution Activities

• Prepare and discuss sales targets along with brand teams
• Assortment planning activities of select brand
• Develop and implement brand positioning and brand awareness activities
• Build and maintain relationship with external agencies including suppliers, principals, show sponsors, magazine editors, mall management, etc
• Participate in site selection, evaluation and new stores opening, whenever required
• Assist COO in preparation of policies and procedures of the retail division in line with the overall objectives of the firm
• Introduce best practices in the retail division
• Prepare opening plan for new stores
• Store audit to ensure implementation of companied policies and procedures
• Prepare and forward MIS to top management as required

Coordination Activities

• Coordinate with principals/ suppliers on a regular basis for brand related matters
• Coordinate with HR manager for undertaking HR related activities for retail division
• Coordinate with Finance Manager and IT Manager on all Finance & IT related activities.
• Coordinate on all matters related to new store openings with Project team.

Requirements

• Female
• 30 – 40 yrs old with 5-10 yrs experience in multi-site operations for a brand.
• The turnover of the brand should be close to 100 million or should have close to 20 – 30 stores
• Should have experience in working with High Street Mid-Market Brands.
• Ability to travel
• Good communication skills both written and oral
