Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An opportunity for our client, we are seeking an experienced Retail Manager that is willing to work for one of the leading retail companies in the UAE. This post is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to the retail department, so that the companys financial and market share related objectives are met.

Salary 30-50,000 AED

Objectives & Strategy:
- Develop short and medium term objectives for the retail business in order to ensure that department is fully aligned with the overall objectives of the company.
- Develop and manage a well-defined and well-understood strategy for the retail department in order to achieve the objectives.

P&L
- Take full ownership of the P&L for the retail business in order to ensure the organizations financial robustness and maximum return on investment.
- Revenue Generation (Sales).
- Manage the retail business in order to drive sales and revenue generation by maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs/expenses.

Division Accountabilities
- Lead and manage retail operations locally and regionally, by managing and running the stores professionally, profitably, with high standards of quality and with focus on maximum utilization of resources, in order to position the organization as the bench-mark in the Middle East retail market.
- Manage retail leasing to ensure that the business is highly visible and has the most profitable locations.
- Manage retail project management in order to ensure that all stores are delivered on time and maintained with high standards of quality and cost effectiveness.
- Manage the planning and buying function in line with the brand strategies, by generating relevant data for appropriate store-wise buying assortment, in order to maximize sales.

Analysis & Forecasting
- Lead the analysis of the sales figures, by developing meaningful reports, in order to forecast sales, trends, shifts in the market etc so that the business may be positioned in a way so as to take advantage of these occurrences.

Human Resources & Training
- Lead and motivate the team by leading by example and maintaining team spirit, in order to achieve organizational loyalty and a forward looking, fully aligned workforce.
- Provide regular training, coaching and mentoring to the team in order to ensure a highly skilled workforce.

Management Reporting
- Provide regular information to the MD in order to ensure that challenges and risks are addressed on an immediate basis and business decision-making is based on valid and up-to-date information.

Requirements

- Education & Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience 10 plus years of work experience with over 5 years in a similar capacity.
- Retail experience within bridge brands is mandatory, local experience preferred.
- Proven track record in a similar role mandatory.
- Specialized Training Well versed with MS Office.
- Knowledge of the local culture and sensitivities.
- Knowledge of the competition within the regional market.
- Extensive regional and local networks.
- Must have a UAE Driving License.
- Fluency in English.
