Retail Manager

Job description / Role

Our client has been operating in the retail industry in Dubai for almost 20 years and are the exclusive distributor of a number of famous, luxury brands in the region and they are currently looking for a Retail Manager to join their team.
The main responsibilities held in the position of Retail Manager include developing short and medium term objectives for the retail business, ensuring that the department is fully aligned with the company objectives, taking full ownership of the P&L for the retail business and managing the business to drive sales and revenue by maximising the efficiency of the business and minimising costs. Other responsibilities will include;
Lead and manage retail operations locally and regionally
Manage retail leasing to ensure the businesses are in the most profitable locations
Manage the planning and buying function in line with the brand strategies
Leading the analysis of the sales figures
Provide regular training and coaching to the team to ensure a highly trained workforce
Regular reporting to the MD to ensure that challenges are addressed on an immediate basis and business decision-making is done with valid information.

Requirements

An individual who has experience in designing and creating strategy based on imagination and pragmatism
Experience in establishing successful, professional working relationships
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
A thorough understanding of financial and non-financial reports
Presentable and well groomed who is able to be a confident representative of the brand
