Retail Manager

Job description / Role

My client, one of the leading retailers in the Middle East has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager. With the rapid expansion of the Retail industry across the GCC my client is focusing on recruiting passionate retailers to push the operations of their global brands.

The role of Retail Manager includes a number of responsibilities:
- Contribute to Sales plans for the brands
- Carry out cost control measures to achieve set targets and operate within specified budgets
- Oversee the implementation of customer service standards
- Conduct regular store visits and mystery shopper audits, reporting findings to Store Managers for changes to be made at store level
- Manage and control all aspects of stock management across the brand
- Coordinate with the VM team to ensure all brand VM standards are maintained across all stores
- Organise and implement marketing and promotional strategies in conjunction with operations
- Action the plans for new store openings in line with operational policies and procedures
- Keep up to date with market trends, customer preferences and competitor activities
- Ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained across the brand/stores

Requirements

My client is looking for a driven, passionate retailer who will meet the following criteria:
- Graduate, preferably in a relevant field
- 5-7 years work experience in the retail industry
- Experience in managing multiple site retail outlets and brand standards
- Excellent people management, communication skills and experience in employee development
- Proven track record in the field of Sales and Retailing
- Passionate, driven professional
- Experienced in managing budgets and forecasting targets
