Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary

* The position will take responsibility for optimizing sales, in line with company budgets and maximizing profits to ensure there is a standardization of processes and systems, smooth set up and implementation of processes and systems for new stores.

* Manage all retail aspects of the business inclusive of store financial performance, seasonal buying, visual merchandising, new openings etc

* Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results

* Responsible for the identification of new business opportunities

* Conduct market research to collect data and draw inferences to arrive at decision points

* Prepare detailed proposals for new businesses/ventures including development of feasibility studies using third parties, where deemed necessary also submit proposals to the Chairman for review and approval

* Ensure that newly identified opportunities are in line with risk management and diversification strategies

* Maintain the highest level of confidentiality during the whole cycle of the business opportunity

* Establish and maintain a successful work culture - recruit, retain, train and develop an effective team.

* Take responsible for all the HR activities and employees scheduling

* Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

* Be responsible for ensuring that the revenue targets for the stores are achieved or exceeded

* Motivate & challenge store supervisors and sales employees to achieve sales & profit results

* Ensure an exceptional level of store merchandising standards are executed across all stores

* Cultivate a culture of customer service excellence to deliver a unique shopping experience for customers

* Clearly and consistently communicate retail priorities and objectives to the store management team through the store supervisor regular daily, weekly and monthly meetings

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

* Minimum 7 years progressive fashion retail experience, to include operations management of multiple locations and store opening experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent. MBA and/or professional financial certification will be an added advantage
* A minimum of 8 years of fashion retail experience, to include operations management of multiple locations, store opening experience and business development
* At least 2-3 years of experience heading the business development function preferably in a leading retail products company

* Ability to develop and maintain excellent fashion merchandise presentation standards
* Proven leadership skills in training, coaching, developing, motivating, and selling results driven
* Ability to read, interpret, and set strategies based on various reports
* Ability to manage corporate directives and maintain excellent records
* Proven ability to lead employees across different geographic locations
* Strong human relation skills and ability to work and support a team environment
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills ideally in multiple languages preferably English, Arabic & Italian
* Strong team leader who has the retail operational knowledge required to continue to lead the team towards the highest of standards
