Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Retail Key Account Manager has responsibility for developing and managing the CLIENT business with the Retail Trade. Initial priority market responsibility will be Saudi Arabia and UAE. (based in Dubai). He will also have travel to GCC countries.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain rolling monthly sales plan
Discuss and manage existing customer requirements through regular contact
Build sales of new products in line with agreed annual objectives
Negotiate pricing within agreed limits and coordinate quotes with CLIENT Sales Support
Ensure harmony with any European HQ KA retailer initiatives
Monitor order delivery and take pro-active action on any supply issues
Ensure customer payments are made in line with offer terms
Develop new customers in line with agreed annual objectives
Provide timely and accurate weekly activity summary to Regional Manager
Overall sales and profit responsibility for GCC countries

Main Contacts

Customer contacts will usually be mid to top-level managers for marketing and purchasing…
will also include both store level staff as well as senior regional managers
Liaise closely with CLIENT M East Head office regarding orders, projects and deliveries + CLIENT factories
Liaise closely with CLIENT Accountant regarding customer payments and profitability
Report to Regional Manager

Requirements

Key Skills and Competencies

• Professional experience: Minimum 3-5 years selling to retail customers, ideally in the Middle East. Background in Selling to FMCG companies can also be considered.

• Language: English both spoken and written.

• IT: Competent in MS Office applications. ERP experience (e.g. SAP) would be a benefit
