Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Shop Manager to lead a small sized team of up to 8 staff. The retail environment is very dynamic and up-beat as we are targeting children and their families. We do not sell toys, we sell experiences.

Key responsibilities will include the following:
* Driving the sales
* Monitor sales against targets
* Process all shop orders
* Manage day to day store operations - banking, cleaning, scheduling, store maintenance
* Manage staff - expatriate and national workforce - ensure their appraisals are done and PDP are followed up
* Track KPI's
* Ensure brand standards are always adhered to
* Train staff on a day-to-day basis on general retail and product specific
* Oversee all store administration/management reporting
* Track best sellers, slow movers
* Suggest and give input for marketing of the store
* Contact schools for new school field trips
* Oversee that all new product launches are done on time and as per the visual merchandising standards
* Actively recruit and interview for new sales staff as needed

Requirements

This is a challenging role as it is a very dynamic retail environment and because teh head office is based in Dubai. We need someone who has strong leadership skills, who is able to fix problems and someone who will be very hands on, not someone who is behind a computer.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirement:
* Have an outgoing and confident personality.
* Have at least 5 years’ experience as a shop manager
* Have managed a team of 5 people or more
* Have compiled work scheduling rosters independently
* Conduct internal store investigations
* Strong head for numbers and very good excel skills
* Very strong communication skills in English and preference will be given to those who speak Arabic.
* Strong written skills for e-mail and general report writing
* Happy to work in Oman on a 6 day week
* Strong attention to detail
* Able to discipline/praise staff when required
* Have worked in either fashion of F&B industry
* Happy to dress up as a bear and dance in front of a crowd

Currently we are not able to offer a family visa so please take that into consideration when you are applying. Please also note the maximum salary is 840 OMR.
