The Role


The Role


GWI is a Construction, Logistics and Security company with its corporate office in Edmond, Oklahoma, with operating offices in the Middle East and future offices in South America. This position is to support our Logistics Department. We have been approved by the US Army “AAFES” to open a small mall – this individual will be the overall manager and assisting each store supervisor.

General Description:

Serves customers by; supervising staff, providing merchandise purchase and placement, selling to the client. This individual will be the Store Manager to deli shop, coffee shop, IT store, and general store.

Salary Expectation: $45k - $50k a year (based on experience)

Work Experience Requirements

• Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follow-up on work results.
• Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains store staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
• Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotions; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with all legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Retail and Sales
• 4+ years of applied experience
• Strong financial reporting and analysis skills
• Excellent organizational skills – Good team player with a “can do” attitude
• Excellent time management skills
• Able to generate original Excel reports
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to communicate with Department of Defense and Private firms
• Must know Accounting and management software

Other Requirements: Must follow security measures set by the organization while residing in Baghdad, Iraq. Must be able to follow the set corporate chain of command. Reports directly to Executive Staff members.
