Job description / Role
Our client are a leading Programme Management company operating across a wide range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Defense & Support Services and Power.
They are currently looking for a Risk Coordinator to be based on a prestigious highway project in Doha, Qatar.
The Risk Coordinator will report to the Programme Risk Manager and be responsible for interfacing with projects to support the risk management process and ensure that all risks to the successful completion of projects are captured and managed in accordance with the Programme Risk Management plan.
The key responsibilities of the Risk Coordinator include:
- Coordinating with project management teams, Consultants and Contractors on all aspects of risk management.
- Developing Risk Management awareness and buy-in.
- Running and facilitating Risk Management Workshops.
- Facilitating the development, implementation and tracking of mitigation actions
- Maintaining and analysing Risk Management data and administering the Risk Management database.
Requirements
The Risk Coordinator will need to have worked on road and highway projects previously, as well as hold Risk Audit qualifications.
Additional criteria for the Risk Coordinator includes:
- BSc in a related subject or the equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience working specifically in areas of risk
- Sound knowledge of project Risk Management techniques and of Project Management
- Sound knowledge of all engineering, construction and commercial aspects of major civil engineering projects
- Previous experience in the Middle East is a distinct advantage
