Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Risk Engineer will assist the Project Risk Manager for the development and the implementation of the Risk Management process as defined in the Project Risk Management Plan. Assist in creating a risk surveillance awareness atmosphere among all of the projects participants. Ensuring all risk and opportunity is carefully managed and reported in terms of impact and probability.

He will assist the Project Manager with the application of the Risk, Opportunity and Knowledge Management Methodology. Proactive Risk response monitoring/planning with appropriate strategies planned well ahead of the problem occurrence.

The risks may include technical, financial, contractual or program and may be as a result of internal issues or from external influences.

The Employer's risk management process should be proactive to identify risk early in the project so that effective mitigation measures can be implemented immediately by the project teams.

Requirements

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum experience of 5 years and holds a Bachelors Degree.
- Experienced in Project Risk Management knowledge and understanding.
- Previous experience in large engineering and construction projects experience.
- Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills.
- Results focused.
- Practitioner knowledge of Active Risk Manager (ARM), Primavera P6 and (at)Risk applications.
- Knowledge and experience of MS Excel expert level (VBA experience is preferred).
- Must have ability to facilitate risk management workshops. Strategic thinker and proactive management approach.
