Job description / Role
Risk Manager - Major Rail Project - International Contractor - Doha
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Risk Manager is responsible for interfacing with projects to support the risk management process.
Duties:
- To ensure that all risks to the successful completion of projects are captured and managed in accordance with the programme risk management plan.
- Provide support to Senior Management in the Risk Management Process.
- Coordination with project management teams, Consultants and Contractors on all aspects of risk management.
- Run and facilitate risk management workshops
- Maintenance and analysis of the risk register
- Facilitate development, implementation and tracking of mitigation actions
- Provide monthly and weekly reports
- Preparing and making presentations
Requirements
- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years risk management experience
- Sound knowledge of risk management techniques
- Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil / rail projects
- Ability to effectively identify, analyse and recommend risk mitigation actions
- Experienced user of MS Office and risk management software
- Previous experience in the Middle East is an advantage
- Excellent report writing skills
- Fluent English both written and spoken
