CH2M HILL Risk Manager- Doha, QatarProgram Description:

Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup football tournament and become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. The associated construction programme will be part of the country's transformation programme, including the development of required infrastructure and non competitive venues.

CH2M Hill is the programme management contractor (PMC) responsible for the management of competition precincts, training venues, associated common domain precincts, Operations, Post Games Works and the coordination of the integration works, acting on behalf of the client, The 'Supreme Council for Delivery and Legacy'.

The Risk Management team supports the delivery team to identify, assess and manage risks to the successful delivery of the programme. CH2M Hill is currently interested in expanding the RM team as part of the programme Contracts and Commercial management.

Scope:

• Support the delivery of Risk Management Strategy
• Work with business unit leaders to identify, assess and report risks at various reporting levels
• Conduct risk management workshops
• Support the client RM policy
• Conduct, analyze and report the results of cost and schedule quantitative risk analysis to respective business units
• Align the risk management efforts of the business units and third parties in relevant areas of responsibility
• Capture and share lessons learned and other useful knowledge that will enhance personnel ability to deliver a cost-effective, sustainable, safe and transparent program

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead risk management identification workshops and update risk registers on ARM
• Lead cost and schedule quantitative risk analysis workshops and conduct qualitative and quantitative assessment of impacts and probabilities
• Update risks and actions on ARM and meet the periodic reporting requirements
• Follow up on actions by risk owners
• Support the RM function to meet the strategic goals of the programme
• Ensure the quality of the risk management process in conformance with established programs, policies, processes and regulations
• Provide continuity for multi-year programs
• Review impact and potential risks associated with change orders
• Develop probabilistic projections of Cost and Schedule performance
• Implement risk management procedures
• Prepare monthly risk assessments/reporting
• Work closely with the delivery team
• Contribute to achieving Programme's vision
• Security and Safety: Contribute to establishing a Culture of Safety and meeting the strategic objective to implement safety, security, environmental protection and safeguards that are as high as reasonably achievable

Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required
• Minimum 10 years experience in construction and engineering; 7 of those years in assessing and mitigating risk.
• Practitioner knowledge of 'Active Risk Manager (ARM)', 'Primavera P6' and '@Risk' applications
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of MS Excel expert level (VBA experience is preferred)
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles and discipline of project scheduling
• Experience working in a programme management office
• Must have ability to facilitate risk management workshops
• Experience working on large-scale programmes.
