The RoleThe RoleJob Objective: The role holder is responsible for supporting the identification, management and mitigation of risks associated with the banks investment projects in real estate sector, reviewing and evaluating new investment opportunities and products. Job Outputs and Responsibilities Process Credit and Investment Applications (Post approval) and ensure that they have been approved as required by policies of the Bank. Inputs information in respect of counterparties, investments, facilities, underwriting, on balance sheet exposure etc. Ensure limits are input and maintained in the system. Monitor and control utilization of facilities, disbursement and exceptions. Ensure that required documentation is obtained before disbursements are made. Process, maintain and control documents including facility documents and collateral related to credit facilities and investments. Produce regular and exception reports. Be responsible for deal file maintenance. Assist in designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organisation Manage the process of identifying and assessing the risks affecting the business Oversee, and in some areas implement, the plan of risk control actions (e.g. risk financing options, liaison with regulators, business continuity plans) Monitor, evaluate and challenge the organisations success in managing its risks Organise appropriate risk reporting, internally and externally Perform other duties as directed by the Head of the Department. Conduct other duties and special project as required. |
RequirementsRequirementsob Requirements (Minimum level of education, professional qualifications, background and years of experience required to do the job). A Bachelors Degree in Banking Finance or Accounting from a reputable higher education institute. Preferably have a Professional Risk Manager (PRM) qualification. 5 years experience in increasingly responsible positions in a credit risk management or closely related function with exposure to credit products control or administration. A strong credit background and the ability to work with and generate complex spreadsheets and other analytical tools. Comfortable and mature in dealing with professional staff, business unit heads, traders, senior management and clients. Proficient on MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Explorer, Project). Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to instil confidence and build collaborative working relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to manage priorities, workflow and own time; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
