Position is definite contract for Three Years
JOB PURPOSE:
a) Identify and assess the Enterprise Risks of the Company, develop and maintain the corporate risk register and risk matrix and provide risk-based data and analysis.
b) Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
a) Co-ordinate and facilitate risk assessment workshops and other activities relating to the top enterprise risks.
b) Evaluate risk data and quantify enterprise risks in terms of severity and frequency. Model economic data relating to selected risks and develop loss scenarios.
c) Develop and maintain the enterprise risk register and risk matrix. Support the management of operational risk registers and ensure risk data is communicated to the corporate level.
d) Prepare reports, tables, graphs and schematics as required in order to effectively present risk information to the executive team.
e) Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and plans.
f) Monitor relevant economic, sociopolitical and other trends and prepare regular briefs for management. Identify new and emerging risks.
g) Work closely with Operations and other departments in order to develop risk registers, support risk assessment workshops and assist with risk activities at operational level.
h) Support external risk assessments as necessary including insurance engineering risk surveys.
i) Assist in the development of risk management standards and processes. Document the risk assessment methodology and other risk assessment processes.
j) Develop and maintain the information systems needed to store and communicate risk data effectively and to support the company’s Integrated Management System.
k) Create and maintain a library of risk-related data, analysis and reports.
l) Support the Enterprise Risk Working Group and assist external risk consultants as necessary.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative discipline such as Science, Engineering or Economics.
Minimum Experience:
• 5 – 10 years of experience in risk management with a minimum of 2 to 3 years exposure to the Energy Industry.
Job Specific Skills:
Risk management qualification preferred
• Economic modeling and statistical analysis skills required
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential
• Commercial acumen and ability to read financial statements preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication (English) skills required
