Requirements

Job Purpose:

The main objective of this position is to support development of a robust control environment, through implementation of the Assurance framework across PCB (UAE).

The position will cover E2E audit coordination, including preparation, timely identification of existing control issues, remediation of the same, furnishing of deliverables, ensure optimal closure of issues and constant tracking for delivery within stipulated timelines. It will also cover RCA refreshes, i.e. performing risk assessments for various risks / functions. This includes ensuring the existing risk and control environment is adequately represented in RCA’s and that all material risks in the business have effective controls in place for mitigation.
Furthermore, the position will cover testing of controls in various units as maybe assigned and work with internal stakeholders to ensure adequate audit preparedness and management of ineffective controls. This position also covers maintenance of an independent oversight (monitoring) on Governance through embedment of processes and regular health checks in order to identify inherent/residual risks.
Following are some salient proposed activities for this role:
• Ensures timely identification of existing risks / control failures and liaising with functional process owners to ensure adequate preparation for audits
• Ensures all RCA’s accurately reflect the existing risk and controls embedded, and periodic update / maintenance of the same
• Regularly reports, tests and evidences effectiveness of controls and management of underlying risks
• Ensures all open ineffective controls highlighted during RCA testing, incidents, testing results, key issues and observations can be linked back to underlying controls/risks (owners)
• Ensures adequate maintenance & update of data systems (e.g. OPUS)
The position will include maintenance of audit impacted RCAs, and assisting functions in preparation / refresh of their RCAs.. Therefore, the role also requires a close working relationship with stakeholders across CIBWIM and sharing relevant controls MI for the same. This will include preparation of MIs, update presentations and reports for circulation to internal stakeholders. Further, the role requires working closely with all team members and remaining abreast of developments in their work, so as to be able to assist or act as a backup if required.

• Good working knowledge of CBO processes, experience of working with these processes
• Experience of implementing and enforcing policy to include assessment of risk (control design, implementing and testing)
• Experience of working with cross functional teams to agree consensus and successfully improve processes and controls
• Wide-ranging operational process experience in a financial services environment.
• Excellent MS Office Skills
