Job description / Role
COMPANY
Our client is a highly respected main contractor in Tanzania with a number of major infrastructure, road and building projects.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
The Road Engineer will be responsible for the on-site execution of building and civil works in a live port environment for an Oil & Gas client including various earthworks, drainage and road works projects.
You will need to be a responsible team player who is affable with the client and engineer, has a very good command of the English language, who is safety and quality conscious etc.
Requirements
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• This is mainly a civil works position in a remote location.
• You will have a Bachelor or Master Degree in civil / construction engineering or equivalent
• Our client requires a minimum of 3 to 4 years total experience.
• You will have previous experience as a Road Engineer on similar projects adhering to stringent H&S standards. This is a prerequisite for this position.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience of working in Africa on similar projects is preferred but is not essential.
• Fluent in English.
FINANCIAL PACKAGE
Our client is open to all nationalities; however your basic salary financial expectations need to be between US$ 2,500 to US$3,500 net per month + single status accommodation, transportation, meals, one flight per year, discretionary yearly bonus, private medical insurance. This is a single status only position. This is a one year renewable contract.
