Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer

Job description / Role

• Analyze Engineering design. Performance of the plant performance systems and its components to recommend design or operating methods to achieve optimal operational reliability using knowledge of reliability and other technologies. Provides reliability engineering assistance to operational, maintenance and engineering staff.
• Observe system performance, conduct test on system components and individual system components to evaluate reliability factors, such as numbers and causes of unit failures. Monitor failure data generated by tests and analyze all advise operation, maintenance and engineering team.
• Prepare Special studies and reports as requested by all the section/department head. Preparing and reviewing rotating equipment health reports. Give conceptual and detailed advice on various types of rotating equipment for projects, revamps and studies.
• Maintain contacts with vendor and operating units to optimize the use of design, equipment and best practices
• Provide reliability support to cross functional to resolve plant equipment and systems problems to resolve issue. Providing necessary data, history and assistance to Reliability Engineer in RCFA.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical engineering with 7 years of experience working in rotating equipment filed in petrochemical plants or similar field, covering various aspects of equipment lifecycle.
• Proficient in Condition & Performance monitoring. Knowledge/skills in OSI-Soft (PI Data historian/Process-book/PI data link, PI-SDK) would be an advantage.
• Previous experience in Upstream and Downstream environment would be advantageous.
• Must have the skills to communicate and negotiate with vendors and work with the partners in the region.
