Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Route Development/Trade Lane Development Manager (India/UAE) OR (UAE/US)

Route Development:
- Monitor sales activity of each location for the specified traffic
- Send out sales leads, letters of recommendation etc. in the case of nominated business and report accordingly on a weekly and monthly basis
- Implement various strategies in accordance with company plans to develop the traffic
- Be responsible for preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Stations Import / Export budgets and analyze monthly performance vis-a-vis the budgets in coordination with all locations sales head or branch heads
- Monitor product-wise and sector-wise profitability in the station
- Do detailed Box-wise Job Costing (based on agreed terms with agent) prior to closing Inbound Boxes & ensure that budgeted average profitability is maintained
- Target customers with a view to increasing market shares. Have a personal customer base of A category customers consisting of Shippers, Buying Houses, Consignees - self target
- Market the Buyer Consolidation Product that provides Total Logistics Solutions to overseas Buying Houses, Departmental Chain Stores etc.

Operations:
- Coordinate & ensure operational excellence to meet service requirements of our customers
- Monitor and review the Service Quality of the particular traffic and co ordinate with respective department / location for fine-tune the procedures to meet the customer requirements
- Negotiate with shipping lines to avail best rates and services along with documentation requirements etc.

Sales & Customer Service
- Conduct periodic product/ departmental meetings to review progress and implement new strategies

Development Activities
- Constantly review developmental opportunities & revenue improvement activities
- Identify new biz opportunities in terms of new territories and products

Requirements

- Graduate/Post Graduate.
- 5-7 years of experience in role of Route Development/Trade Lane Development with Freight Forwarding industry.
- Experience of selling air/sea products.
