In 2011, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said decreed the establishment of a new university dedicated to scholarship and research in science and technology with a mandate to expand the nation’s higher education capacity significantly and spur economic growth.

Our Client, the University of Oman Project (UOP) is the project phase of the University of Oman which is expected to become operational by August 2018.

The University of Oman Project seek to employ the services of a Running Start Programme Manager to join its project team.

The successful candidate is expected among other things to:

• Spearhead the development of a programme to prepare students at school level for entry and admissions required for the University of Oman.

• Manage accurate execution of the running start programme in close coordination with key stakeholders.

• Ensure continuous review of the quality of the programme to ensure that set objectives are met.

• Help identify suitable partners for the University of Oman as well as in the drafting of agreements and negotiation of terms with selected.

Requirements

• Master Degree in Education or related field.

• 10 years of experience in a similar role with a large educational institution.

• Experience in managing students preparation, foundation or similar programmes.

• Experience in a similar role in the GCC or middle east is a plus
