SAP ABAP Developer

Job description / Role

- Responsible for the day-to-day business system support and project support for all new business activities that will use SAP ensuring that the system is available to avoid any delays in Hemayas operations.
- Work directly with the business partners on requirements, defects, fixes, and improvements to the SAP system.
- Work with others as appropriate to develop SAP implementations and related test plans across the Hemaya.
- Participate in gathering requirements analysis for new SAP-dependent projects from concerned business partners.
- Identify security requirements, including creation of new roles and/or addition to existing for a given line of business.
- Work with the user community and Administrators in IT to successfully implement applications.
- Maintain the design, code, documentation, and testing procedures during the functional lifecycle of the system, after initial implementation, based on input from the end-users.
- Oversee and manage all SAP component, assembly, and integration testing required and document the results of all testing in accordance with Program procedures and standards.
- Support quality reviews and other external evaluation of all SAP system design, development, and testing efforts.
- Ensure that all modification or changes to the system are in line with the user and Hemayas needs.
- Respond to reports of operational problems and requests for assistance and provide operational support and implement fixes and additional features.
- Review reports prepared by the SAP Business Analyst and recommend system enhancements and solutions.
- Perform SAP system maintenance and updates as and when required.
- Participate in the creation of development standards while adhering to policies, methodologies, standards, and guidelines.
- Practice duties and roles in line with the authorities as illustrated in the authority matrix.
- This covers the key responsibilities to be performed, but is not all inclusive. It does not preclude other responsibilities from being assigned and undertaken.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in IT/ Computer Science or its equivalent.
- SAP Developer Certification
- Five years of relevant experience in SAP ERP systems

Skills
- Knowledge of pertinent SAP ERP Modules: P2P MM, SD, SRM, SPM, Open HUB Organization and Planning Skills
- Project Management Skills
- Problem Solving Skills
- Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word processing, excel, spreadsheets)
- Fluent in English, Arabic is preferred
