SAP Basis / NetWeaver Consultant

Job description / Role

SAP Basis / NetWeaver Consultant responsible for administration, performance monitoring, infrastructure/hosting knowledge (AIX & Windows), configuration, and problem troubleshooting and resolution for SAP systems; primarily BW, BW Accelerator, and Solutions Manager, but including ECC, Enterprise Portal, and LSO. Experience supporting SAP NetWeaver 7.xx, both AS ABAP and AS Java, is required.

Projects resource will participate in:
- BW 7.0 to 7.3 and BWA 7.0 to 7.2 upgrades
- Solution Manager service readiness updates (plug-ins, etc)
- BW and Solution Manager daily operations

Requirements

General systems development skills:
- Experience in gathering and documenting technical requirements.
- Ability to communicate technical issues in a non-technical way for better customer understanding.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Team Participation:
- Ability to communicate, cooperate and coordinate effectively with team members.
- Ability to accept direction and recommendations to ensure effective integration and coordination with existing applications.

Knowledge transfer:
- Written communication skills to adequately document work.
- Oral communication skills to train staff and inform management of all implemented assignments
Skills:
- SAP Basis / Netweaver 7.xx administration Required 5 Years
- SAP Business Warehouse (technical) Required 5 Years
- SAP Solution Manager (technical) Required 5 Years
- SAP hosted on AIX or other Unix variants Required 5 Years
- SAP hosted on MS Windows / VMWare Required 5 Years
