Job description / Role
Our client is one of the leading healthcare distributors in the UAE. They are currently looking for a SAP Stream Lead Accounting professional/SAP Project Manager.
This is a senior role for which requires a mature person who can handle a challenging end user environment.
Job Summary:
To contribute to the success of the team and the organization in achieving the vision of the division and entire client's organization by managing the client's SAP super users as well and allowing them to optimize their ability to create value for the organization.
Specific areas of responsibility would be SAP Project Management, Support and the transition from traditional IT into a MIS driven organization
Job Description:
• Responsible for the daily management, support and maintenance of the core business applications particularly SAP ECC FICO and SAP Development Team
• Manage the delivery of application enhancement programs
• Provide leadership to the SAP alignment program
• To be the key driver of the use of business applications throughout the organization
• To manage the SAP ERP Team
• To create an integrated reporting structure between BE, Accounting and the operational Divisions
• To ensure Business Process Documentation and End User Manuals are up to date, maintained properly and available to all
• To set goals and monitor performance of the SAP ERP Team
• To implement application specific recommendations from internal/external auditors
• To achieve optimal utilization of IT resources
• To run complex IT Projects from design and development to production
• To plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones for IT projects
• To report on ongoing project status
• In charge of customers & Partners relations
Requirements
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 full end-to end cycle SAP implementations
• Extensive COPA and new G/L migration experience
• In depth hands-on configuration experience in FI and CO
• Good hands-on configuration experience in BI/BW
• Several years working experience in Accounting Department, preferably at a Pharma/FMCG or Distribution Company
• Minimum 4 years in line management
• Minimum 2 years of SAP Project Management experience
• Industry Specific (Wholesale- Distribution or Pharma/FMCG) Implementation Experience is a must
• Exposure to SharePoint is a major plus
Job Knowledge & experience required:
• Experience in planning and managing medium size IT projects in a multi-cultural environment, with internal and external resources from cross functional back grounds
• Good understanding of ERP (SAP) and MIS applications
• Understand business processes in Wholesale Distribution, Pharmaceutical or FMCG industry
• Experience in initiatives to improve business benefits through BPR and or BPM
• Participated in minimum of 5 SAP implementations of which 3 completed full implementation cycle
• Experience in managing project cost, time and budget
• Experience organizing support activities based on business priorities and resource availability
• An MBA with a computer science or IT Management or Accounting specification is preferred
• A Project Management certification would be distinctive advantage
