SAP Testing Manager

Job description / Role

My client, a top strategy consulting firm, is currently looking for a SAP Test Manager to join their team. The main job responsibilities include;

Key Accountabilities:
- Developing an open and effective working relationship with internal client testing Management.
- Mobilizing the Test project
- Providing Test Management consultancy, this will include delivery consultancy and coaching of internal teams
- Acting as the onsite Test Manager for the project and liaising and organizing offshore efforts to deliver testing.
- Ensure that key reporting, utilization and billing targets are met and delivery management information is reported within a timely manner
- Facilitate the engagement of technical specialists such as Automation and Performance Test Specialists needed to support the delivery of the project
- Review of testing estimates and comment on issues and risks
- Participate in demand forecasting, capacity planning, staffing, consolidation & team size optimization
- Liaise with the Offshore Test Delivery Manager to plan staffing, space and infrastructure
- Liaise with the Client business and IS teams for UAT planning and execution
- Participate in risk based planning sessions and process improvement sessions
- Participate in all necessary internal and external Governance meetings
- Work along with client stakeholders for review/sign-off of all Milestone Test deliverables as outlined in the Test Strategy
- Identify program risks and formulate mitigation plans
- Manage inter and intra program dependencies

Requirements

- Strong client facing background in Testing and SAP Testing projects
- 8 years of SAP Testing experience
- Ability to influence decision making.
- Strong control of scope, programme parameters and delivery SLAs
- Excellent leadership and facilitation skills
- Strong end to end knowledge of all aspects of Testing and Testing related fields including environment management, change management, configuration management etc
- Fluent understanding of SAP architecture, tools, best practices and industry trends
- Strong general technical skillset and ability to talk to multiple technology platforms
- Working in a large scale multi-application delivery environment
- The specification and production of test evidence and documentation, including information to be used for internal metrics.
- Management, motivation and mentoring of testing staff in an onsite / off shore operating model and assigned business resources.
- A detailed understanding of Test process improvement experience and test maturity model
- Hands on experience with estimation and project configuration in an onsite-offshore delivery model
- Prior experience of having implemented large Test projects in an onsite-offshore delivery model (mandatory requirement)
